Beyond it all

"If you can see only what light reveals and hear only what sound announces, then in truth you do not see nor do you hear".

Walking through the garden this morning felt great. Fresh morning air hit me with such force! Yesterday was simple and full of joy and so shall today be too! I look forward to reading and learning more new things today. The neighbours have cleared their compound of overgrown, unruly climbers and now sunlight streams into our kitchen! In the mornings the trees are brilliantly lit!

Life is full of little beautiful things, if only we care to notice even as we rush around getting things done. I see many of my friends, family, running around morning to evening, finishing tasks, attending to their work. At some point I wonder if they don't tire of not having time to themselves, to sit down and gather their thoughts. Probably they are okay that way! But I have to have this little time to myself every day to just sit down and look around and really see and enjoy a few moments of quiet.

This moment is all we truly have.

It feels like going back to the old days. Taking one day at a time, one hour at a time, one moment at a time and carefully filling it with only positivity and happiness. Was tough to begin with but got easy over just a little bit of time. And so here I am again, one more time, doing just that :)

Its a good thing to begin one's day reading something positive, inspirational. Shutting one's eyes and connecting with peace. Today is beautiful. I am yet to begin work on redoing the garden and right now its full of weeds! But I look forward to cleaning it up, changing the design, planting a few new trees, new flowering plants. Every day is an opportunity to begin life itself anew, every moment is. We either take it or we don't. Like I read somewhere yesterday, moment by moment, choice by choice, we create our life. We are all free to choose the attitude we will wear for the day, no matter how the day is :)

And so today I choose joy.
